Its become rather fashionable of late to “Be Green”, to be “sustainable” to eat “organic” to worry about your carbon footprint. And the bug bite……….I was lucky enough to get an allotment, very lucky in fact when you consider that waiting lists for allotments are very very long. With some lists in London anticipating a 40 year wait! The average waiting list is 3 1/2 years.

I went to my allotment for the first time yesterday. A big intimidating rectangle of soil.

Todays job – start off some more seedlings : Swiss Chard, Butternut, Courgette, Mangetout.
